Before I Tell You What This Is

Four years ago, on a Tuesday afternoon that felt like any other, a young woman arrived at my therapy studio. As many first clients often do, she came asking to be guided into a past life regression.
I had been a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique practitioner for over a decade by then. I had trained directly under Dolores Cannon twice. I had conducted countless sessions. Past lives, by themselves, no longer surprised me. People described being fishermen, stage performers, thieves, mothers during famine, anonymous soldiers in wars whose names history has not bothered to record. Clients came for therapy, and I had learned to receive these scenes with steady professional containment. I asked questions, I held the room, and therapy happened as experiences were examined, as patterns became visible. All, within the hypnotic trance.
What entered the room that afternoon was not what I had been trained to receive.
It began ordinarily enough. The client—I will call her Emilie—settled into a trance about thirty minutes in and described the place where she found herself: a marketplace, hot sun overhead, a busy crowd. The detail was vivid. She described herself as wearing sandals and a tunic that reached her ankles. She described the ledgers she carried and the material they were made of. Slowly, details started to date the scene to antiquity. She mentioned students who walked with her. I noted, as I always do, the slow accretion of small sensory facts. She told me she taught philosophy. By then, I knew there was little chance the person of that past life was female. I was no longer talking to the Emilie of the present, but someone else. She continued to answer my questions, dropped one at a time, as I gathered the puzzle pieces. Each moment brought new information. My language stayed clean, careful. She told me she came from a peaceful community far from where she now stood. Then she told me, as an aside, her place of birth.
“Bethlehem,” she said. “Well, outside of Bethlehem.”
My throat went suddenly dry. I reached for a glass of water. I needed time to think.
What I am going to be writing about, in this Substack, is what happened next. Across five recorded sessions over thirteen months, between October 2022 and November 2023, the man known to history as Jesus of Nazareth, or Yeshua, as he asked me to call him, sat with me through the body of the young woman who had come for a session, and told me his story. In his own words. The man, before the icon was made. The wounded child. The lonely teenager. The friend of John the Baptist. The teacher whose travels took him to India, to what is now Turkey, briefly to Brazil. The man who tried to take his own life and survived. The man who, in trance, asked me, Rima, the therapist sitting in the chair, to help him integrate the grief he had been carrying for two thousand years.
I have a book coming. It is called THE PEACE CODES: A Journey Home with Yeshua. It will be published on August 28, 2027. I am not yet ready to tell you everything that is in it; the slow reveal that Yeshua used with me, I want to use with you. But I will write here, twice a month, about what I learned and how I learned it. About what changed in me, and what may change in you, if you choose to come along.
I am not asking you to believe me. Yeshua himself did not ask me to believe him. He asked me, repeatedly, to apply critical thought. To form my own opinions. To test the words against my own discernment. To take only what survived my own questioning. I am inviting you to do just that, with me, with the book that is coming, with anything I write here.
This is the work of a person who once thought of herself as a quiet scientific materialist, with an unspoken resentment at God she had not yet known she carried. By the time the conversations ended I was someone else. I will not pretend the journey was easy or that I have finished it. I will only say that I am the name at the bottom of the cover, and that I have agreed to be that name with my eyes open.
If you are spiritually open and weary of the doctrinal Jesus. If you are a contemplative who has loved Cynthia Bourgeault, Richard Rohr, Thomas Keating, Sue Monk Kidd, Mirabai Starr, or anyone who has carried the deeper Christian mysticism forward. If you are a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique practitioner or client, or a hypnotherapist of any school. If you read serious channeled literature like Conversations with God, A Course in Miracles, the Seth material. If you have left a church and not stopped looking. If you are doubtful and resistant, and the cover of this Substack caught your eye anyway. You are who I am writing for.
I will be here, twice a month, until the book arrives in August of 2027, and after that, walking forward into whatever this is becoming. Subscribe if you would like to come along.
I am Rima Montoya. The first conversation is the beginning. There is much more to come.
